He graduated magna cum laude from the Faculty of Law, University of Rome in 1980 and was admitted to the Italian Bar in 1981.
Auditor since 1994, Claudio Coggiatti sits on the board of directors and is a member of the board of auditors of major Italian companies.
He was President of the section of Rome of the Italian Young Lawyers Association from 1987 to 1999 and was elected member of the Executive Committee of the Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats (AIJA), an association for which he has served as Vice President for Italy in the period 1999 to 2001.
As a member of the Commission for International Relations of the Bar Association of Rome Claudio Coggiatti has played the role of representative of the Board itself at the UIA – Union Internationale des Avocats –, association of which he vice president of the Italian Committee and active component of the Commissions “International Sale of Goods”, “Litigation”, “Sports Law” and “Labour Law”.
He is also a member of the AIGLI, International Association of Jurists of Italian language.
In September 2010 he was appointed Member of the Executive Committee of the Lazio section of the European Court of Arbitration.
In December 2013 he has been awarded by President Giorgio Napolitano the honour of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
Claudio Coggiatti’s practice includes both contentious and non-contentious assistance to Italian and foreign clients in various areas of civil law, including corporate, commercial, contractual, real estate and banking law. In the context of family law, he has acquired specific expertise in the field of international child abduction.
